Win a family pass to MasterChef Live 2012

September 29, 2012

Do you love MasterChef? No, don’t answer that. We all love MasterChef.

Whether it’s to watch contestants struggle to cook something from a Mystery Box, or a time-limited Pressure Test, or recreating a fabulous dish from a top chef, we have all watched as our favourite amateur cooks trip up and then triumph (often within minutes of each other) week after week.

The MasterChef crew is featured in a live show at Moore Park in Sydney over three brilliant days, giving fans the chance not just to watch their favourites in action, but to join in.

Here’s your chance to spend time with your favourite MasterChef contestants and celebrities and learn some new skills as well.

The star line-up for MasterChef Live 2012 includes judge George Calombaris; Matt Moran, Maggie Beer, Adriano Zumbo, Darren Robertson, Vincent Gadan, Kylie Kwong, Miguel Maestre

Over three days you will get the chance to meet your favourite chefs; mingle around hundreds of stalls including Adriano Zumbo, Flying Fish, Sonoma Bakery and Maggie Beer and participate in all sorts of cooking classes from baking bread to understanding organic meat to cooking classes for children to understanding knife skills (though possibly NOT at the same time as cooking with kids. Just saying.)

There is something for everyone during the event and is genuinely a kid-friendly show. I’m delighted to be able to give away a family pass valued at $99, for 2 adults and 2 children, to four lucky people.

This event will  from  5 – 7 October at the Royal Hall of Industries & Hordern Pavilion, Moore Park.

To be in the running, you will have to be able to attend the show in Sydney (sorry, but it’s only in Sydney this year).

To enter, leave a comment below or on our Facebook page, stating why you would love to go and what one skill you would like to learn. Funniest, most interesting or entertaining answers will be looked at very closely. Competition ends 5pm Monday October 1st with tickets sent to winners directly.

So what are you waiting for? Your time starts… NOW!

What a great learning curve this would be not to mention the fun. Love MasterChef and have always wanted to attend one of their Live Shows but living in the country has not been possible. We have to grandsons 12 and 8 both fans of the show and would take them to it. Knife skills would be a great thing to learn as mine are really not up there

I need to learn how to cook something nice since I owe all my friends a meal! I want to learn how to make some funky desserts.

Masterchef Live is such a great family fun day out. Missed out last year on the Sushi wrapping masterclass due to the gigantic queue, determined not to miss it again this year because I desperately need to create tightly wrapped sushi for lunchboxes when school starts.

Great competition and perfect timing. I’d really like to win because I started seeing a really nice guy who just loves Masterchef! To be honest, I’ve never been into it, but I feel this relationship hinges on me giving this massively popular show some of my time. What better way to be introduced to it than with the live version! The kids could come too. Oh, and I’d so love to see Maggie Beer. I’d also love to learn how to work with yeast and make really good sourdough bread.

Actually, I’m sure this guy would still like me, but maybe taking him to the Horden next weekend could seal the deal!

PS, don’t they say the way to a man’s heart is through his Masterchef?

I would love to learn how to understand knife skills, so many knives for so many different things.

Masterchef?, How do I love thee, let me count the ways … oh to have the knife skills of marvellous Matt, the farm of dearest Maggie and the tradition of kind Kylie. Please Sandra and ‘Masterchef’ show ME/US the way (by sending Middle Child, the Youngest and I tickets) :)
